3-4-3 Lineup: Tottenham vs Newcastle United as star players return in full fit to start

Newcastle United will face Tottenham Hotspur at St. James’ Park on Sunday afternoon, hoping to take all three points at home. The visitors will be going into the game off a 2-3 setback to Bournemouth, but Eddie Howe’s men suffered a 3-0 defeat to Aston Villa last week.

Cristian Stellini will most likely use a 3-4-3 system in midweek, but he may make a couple of changes for the forthcoming match, with Arnaut Danjuma likely to return to the starting lineup.

Defence

Hugo Lloris will play between the posts in the forthcoming match. On Sunday, France’s shot-stopper would like to put up a solid performance and keep a clean sheet.

Cristian Romero will play at the heart of Tottenham’s defense with Eric Dier and Clement Lenglet.

Ivan Perisic will start as left wing-back, with Pedro Porro filling in on the opposite flank as right wing-back. The fullbacks will be expected to stay compact and defensively shape.

Midfield

Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg could start in holding midfield and be assigned a more defensive duty to protect the away team’s back four.

Oliver Skipp will play center midfield, determined to create clear-cut scoring chances for the frontmen.

Attack

Son Heung-min and Arnaut Danjuma will play on the wings, on the left and right, respectively.

Tottenham Hotspur will be led by Harry Kane this weekend. The England international will be eager to get on the scoresheet against a Newcastle defense that has allowed six goals in their past five league games.

If necessary, Dejan Kulusevski could come off the bench to make a cameo appearance in the second 45 minutes of the game.
