Tottenham’s conversations with Burnley manager Vincent Kompany have been ‘good,’ according to Fabrizio Romano.

Over the last week and a half, multiple outlets have revealed that Julian Nagelsmann has emerged as Tottenham’s top managerial target, with the North London club expected to make a strong bid to persuade the German to take the job (Independent).

Spurs have made touch with the 35-year-old, according to The Athletic’s David Ornstein, who stated on Rio Ferdinand’s YouTube Channel a few days ago.

However, he added that the deal is not yet finalized and that players such as Kompany, Arne Slot, and Luis Enrique are still on the Lilywhites’ radar.

According to Romano’s most recent report, Nagelsmann is not the only candidate Spurs have spoken with, with the club also claiming to have held ‘good’ conversations with Kompany.

Romano also stated that the Burnley manager is not the only one being considered by Tottenham at the moment.

“Vincent Kompany had a conversation with Tottenham, it was a positive conversation,” he remarked on the Here We Go Podcast.

“But of course, he’s not the only candidate.

However, he added that the deal is not yet finalized and that the likes of Kompany, Arne Slot, and Luis Enrique are still on the Lilywhites’ radar.

According to Romano’s newest report, Nagelsmann is not the only candidate Spurs have spoken with, with the club also claiming to have held ‘good’ conversations with Kompany.

Romano also confirmed that the Burnley manager is not the only one being evaluated by Tottenham at the time.

“Vincent Kompany had a positive conversation with Tottenham,” he remarked on the Here We Go Podcast.
