3-4-2-1 Lineup: Udinese vs AC Milan as Zlatan Ibrahimovic returns fully to lead the front line

In their final game before the international break, Stefano Pioli’s side travel to the Dacia Arena to face Andrea Sottil’s Udinese.

Pioli is unlikely to make many changes to the team that drew with Salernitana at San Siro last week, with Sandro Tonali set to replace Rade Krunic and Zlatan Ibrahimovic set to replace the suspended Olivier Giroud.

Ibrahimovic has not started for the Rossoneri in over a year, with his most recent appearance coming in a 0-0 draw with Juventus in January 2022.

Junior Messias will also be unavailable due to a thigh injury he picked up earlier in the week. The same is true of Theo Hernandez who has had flu, so Fode Ballo-Toure will get the nod on the left flank.

Udinese will be without Adam Masina, Gerard Deulofeu, and Enzo Ebosse through injury, whilst Kingsley Ehizibue remains a doubt in the starting line-up.

The Rossoneri look to cement their place in the Champions League positions whilst Udinese are aiming to leapfrog their way back into the top half of the Serie A table.

Milan are winless in their last three outings across all competitions after draws with Salernitana and Tottenham in the league and Champions League respectively and a loss against Fiorentina two weekends ago.

Contrastingly, Udinese are undefeated in their last three as last week’s win over Empoli backed up draws with Atalanta and Spezia in Serie A.

Milan were victorious in the previous outings between the two sides back in August, coming out on top of a 4-2 result at the Giuseppe Meazza.

Udinese (3-5-2): Silvestri; Becao, Bijol, Nehuen Perez; Ehizibue, Arslan, Walace, Lovric, Udogie; Pereyra; Beto.

Milan (3-4-2-1): Maignan; Kalulu, Thiaw, Tomori; Saelemaekers, Bennacer, Tonali, Theo Hernandez; Brahim Diaz, Rafael Leao; Ibrahimovic.
