Eddie Howe has received good news on his injuries ahead of Newcastle United’s visit to Selhurst Park.
Bruno Guimaraes suffered an ankle injury in the club’s 1-0 win over Fulham last weekend, and the midfielder will miss this evening’s Premier League encounter against Crystal Palace.
However, Elliot Anderson, a 20-year-old midfielder who missed the Fulham game due to a calf injury, is back in training ahead of the club’s trip to London. “He trained yesterday, and he trained well,” Howe added. So I was happy to see him.”

Meanwhile, Newcastle has already played Palace at home twice this season – once in the Premier League and once in the Carabao Cup – and has yet to score.
Asked about his team selection for the game, Howe said: “We’ll try and make the correct decisions on team selection. I have a strong group to choose from. I certainly want to do all in my power to help us win.”
