Millwall are braced for a summer of interest in Zian Flemming, with several clubs keen on the 25-year-old, according to South London Press.
The versatile attacker joined the Lions in 2022 from Fortuna Sittard for a fee of £1.7 million which was a club record signing at the time and remains their second most expensive purchase to date.
The Dutchman hit the ground running during his first season at The Den scoring 15 goals and assisting three. His value has doubled since joining the Londoners, now being worth £3.6 million, according to TransferMarkt.
With just 12 months remaining on his current deal, plus an option to extend by an additional 12 months, clubs are looking to take advantage of his dwindling contract. Championship runners-up Ipswich Town are amongst his potential suitors, as are La Liga outfit Alaves.
With Ipswich’s recent promotion to the Premier League, the Tractor Boys are looking to strengthen their squad to help improve their chances of survival in England’s top flight next season. Although his numbers have dropped off since last year, Flemming has still managed eight goals and five assists in a Millwall side that has struggled this campaign.
The Ajax academy graduate has been a wanted man for the past year, with Burnley submitting multiple bids for the Dutchman last summer, which would have seen a club-record sale for the South London side. Equally, MLS outfit San Jose Earthquake had been looking at the player, although no bids were made before the window closed in America in April.
Millwall and Ipswich have had polarising fortunes this season, with the former finishing 13th after bringing back Neil Harris to steer the club clear of the relegation zone. Meanwhile, Kieran McKenna has worked wonders in Suffolk, ending a 22-year absence from the Premier League for the Tractor Boys.

Flemming is clearly a gifted footballer, who at only 25-year-old is likely to keep progressing up the ranks in the footballing world. Despite his goal contributions halving this season compared to last, he still finished top goal-scorer for Millwall, proving to be the bright spark in an otherwise lacklustre campaign for the Lions.
The top brass at The Den would be smart to cash in. With such interest from Ipswich and abroad, a deal in the region of £5 million could be on the cards which would ultimately allow Neil Harris to build his own team with the funds raised.
If the club can recruit well in the summer and build on his side’s form at the end of this season, there is no reason Millwall cannot challenge for a play-off position in a potentially weaker Championship line-up next season.
