Alabama has maintained its position as the top team in college football since 2009, a feat attributed mainly to the leadership of their former head coach, the legendary Nick Saban. Having retired earlier this year, the team’s reins have been handed over to the new head coach, Kalen DeBoer.

DeBoer has done a fantastic job keeping players on the Alabama roster under Saban, like quarterback Jalen Milroe, and the Crimson Tide are getting ready for 2024. Many people think it could be a down year for them. But they will still compete at a high level. They just added one of the best players at his position in the spring portal
Nicholson was the best kicker in the 2023 college football season and even won the Lou Groza Award, given to the best kicker in the country. He was the first MAC player to bring home that honor.
Nicholson went 35 for 37 on XPs and 27/28 of field goals made last season, and the Crimson Tide has just gotten a great player.

Nicholson will have big shoes to fill at Alabama, but he had already been named the best kicker in the sport, so he’s already out to a fast start.
