The Nigerian international joined the Foxes from Genk in January 2017 for about £17 million, and he has since become a crucial player for the team.
Ndidi was instrumental in Brendan Rodgers’ side winning the FA Cup, and he was outstanding when they finished in the European spots over the years.

However, his form has slipped in the last 18 months or so, and Ndidi has only made 27 appearances since the Midlands team was demoted to the Championship.
Naturally, this threw doubt on his future, and it had been suggested that a reunion with Rodgers at Celtic was possible.
However, according to Daily Mail reporter Tom Collomosse, Celtic or any other team would have to pay ‘near to £20m’ to sign Ndidi from Leicester.
Leicester appears to be quite ambitious here. Ndidi has entered the final year of his contract, which means he could sign a pre-contract with a team outside of England in January.
That doesn’t mean no offers will come in, and if Saudi Arabia shows interest, Leicester may be able to ask for even more. But, realistically, they’ll struggle to get close to £20 million for Ndidi right now.
Following that, you have to assume there’s a good chance he’ll stay at the King Power Stadium unless Leicester drop their demands.
That is a serious possibility, since the club will not want to lose Ndidi on a free transfer in a year if new terms cannot be reached.
If he does leave, it will be a setback for Enzo Maresca, as Ndidi may be a vital player for him. However, he has been utilised in a box-to-box role in recent friendlies, so Leicester may be better served utilizing any proceeds from his sale to bring in someone better suited to that position.
After relegation, it was always going to be a busy window for Leicester, and there needed to be a focus on bringing in money, which the departures of James Maddison and Harvey Barnes have done.
Maresca still has a large squad and would want to transfer players on to make room for new additions, and it wouldn’t be surprising if Ndidi left owing to his contract predicament.
So, this is one to keep an eye on in the coming weeks, and it will be intriguing to watch what happens, as well as whether Ndidi pushes for a move elsewhere this summer.
