Nottingham Forest are edging closer to sign Manchester United world star this summer

Nottingham Forest are getting closer to signing Manchester United’s Dean Henderson. Andre Onana is expected to join the Old Trafford giants, opening the door for Forest to sign a priority target.

The Reds will get a good offer for Henderson, according to Chris Wheeler of the Daily Mail. He has now revealed that the Reds will spend up to £20 million to sign him away from Manchester United.

During the 2022/23 season, the goalie was on loan at the City Ground. He was signed shortly after promotion, just before Brice Samba opted to return to France and sign with Lens.

Forest made a wise decision by hiring Henderson. He appeared in 20 games for the club and preserved six clean sheets, the most of any goalie outside the top six at the time.

Henderson has remained at United despite a spat with David de Gea. The club promised their number one a new contract but then rescinded it, causing confusion at the club.

The man who spent 12 years at United has departed the club. According to Fabrizio Romano, he will be replaced in the coming days by Onana, who is due to sign a long-term contract with Inter.

Forest is getting closer to signing Dean Henderson.

This feels like the City Ground’s longest-running saga in years. Fans frequently joke about whether or not the club has signed Darren Pratley, given that Billy Davies attempted to sign him on an annual basis. The Henderson transaction threatened to topple that!

Henderson now appears to be joining the club, putting an end to the speculation. In addition, at £20 million, the player may be a true steal for Forest, taking everything into account.

The goalie has only played one game for England. Not only that, but at 26 years old, he has the potential to be the Forest’s number one for the next ten years!

During his tenure on Trentside, Henderson became a fan favorite. After sustaining a season-ending injury in January, he kicked every ball from the stands and bought into Nottingham Forest’s attitude and ideals.
