Bodycam released as Suspect identified in hit-and-run that injured Cleveland officer after Browns game

CLEVELAND, Ohio (WOIO) – Cleveland Police released the identity of the suspect Saturday accused of striking an officer and leaving the scene of the accident after a Browns game earlier this month.

Mark Anthony Adams, 27, is charged with tampering with evidence, failure to comply, and leaving the scene of a crash.

Adams was arrested at his home on the 4700 block of E 85th St in Garfield Heights on October 2.

19 News previously reported the victim officer was directing traffic after the Browns game when he was hit near the area of West 6th Street and Johnson Court on October 1.

EMS said they transported the officer, who had minor injuries.

A police reports states police were able to catch the license plate of the suspect’s alleged vehicle and trace it back to Adams.

The bond was set at $5,000 for Adams, which he posted on October 11.

He is set to be arraigned November 6.
