BREAKING NEWS: Boston Celtics finally sign Former Clippers star man

Jay Scrubb was officially drafted 55th overall by the Brooklyn Nets in 2020 before being traded to the Los Angeles Clippers, where he played 22 NBA games before being discarded and signing with the Orlando Magic. Scrubb appeared in two NBA games with the Orlando Magic before being released, and he is currently playing in the Summer League for the Boston Celtics. Scrubb and the Celtics reached an agreement on a two-way contract for the 6’5″ guard, according to NBA insider Chris Haynes’ report on Saturday afternoon.

who has been impressive so far in Summer League. Scrubb, who was drafted out of John A. Logan Community College, is attempting to establish himself in the NBA. While a two-way contract does not guarantee him playing time above the G-League, it does provide Scrubb with the ability to spend time with the major club if the opportunity arises. Scrubb will attempt to dominate in the G-League while waiting for his opportunity.

Scrubb has averaged 4.0 PPG in 9.8 minutes per game in 24 career NBA appearances. Scrubb, who is still hoping for a longer NBA career, evidently wowed the Celtics, who are thrilled to have the 22-year-old in their club. As previously stated, most two-way players spend the most of their time in the G-League, but NBA opportunities occasionally arise, and Scrubb will be ready.
