Laundry that is filthy
Inspectors deemed Oakwood Residential Home on West End Road in Bitterne insufficient due to huge cobwebs surrounding the windows, clearly soiled clothes, and mops in unclean water.

According to the report, “There were areas of the home that were not clean, the laundry was visibly dirty, large cobwebs around windows and some carpeted areas were worn and in need of a deep clean.”

The report went on to say: “For instance, mops were found in dirty water and not stored in line with guidance, mop heads that were black with dirt were being used, and clinical bins within the toilets were not pedal operated.”

According to the manager, personnel at the home for the elderly and those with dementia are collaborating to make changes.

Diabetes medication is prescribed by a clinic to help people lose weight.
Patients seeking to lose weight were prescribed a medicine used to treat type 2 diabetes by Rejuvenate Aesthetics Clinic.

Inspectors discovered that personnel were not always prescribing and administering medications in accordance with national guidelines.
