DONE DEAL: Indiana basketball transfer portal commitment: Bellarmine forward/center Langdon Hatton

A deep dive into Indiana native Langdon Hatton as he visits the Hoosiers.

Bellarmine transfer Langdon Hatton committed to Indiana today while on his official visit.

Mike Woodson and his coaching staff have strategically reshaped the roster this spring through the transfer portal, and Hatton might be the final piece to this exceptional class. With Oumar Ballo, Kanaan Carlyle, Luke Goode, and Myles Rice committed, 247Sports.com ranks the four-player class as the second-best (behind Arkansas) transfer portal haul in the country.

HATTON BEGINS INDIANA OFFICIAL VISIT

Hatton is a 6’10” power forward/center from Georgetown, Indiana. He played at North Harrison High School, often running into Purdue’s Trey Kaufman-Renn and Kooper Jacobi (Eastern Illinois) of Silver Creek. During Hatton’s junior and senior seasons, North Harrison lost to Silver Creek in the sectional.

And on the sidelines, Sherrone Moore takes over as head coach, while Don “Wink” Martindale hopes to maximize his considerable defensive talent maintain the level of an elite defense.

Michigan has enjoyed an unprecedented run since 2021: A 40-3 record, three Big Ten titles, three wins over Ohio State and a national championship, all while becoming the first program to reach 1,000 all-time wins. But as games like 2021 Nebraska, 2022 TCU and the 2024 Rose Bowl against Alabama demonstrate, the margins between victory and defeat in college football are quite thin. Every other team, including Texas (Sept. 7), USC (Sept. 21), Oregon (Nov. 2) and Ohio State (Nov. 30) will be vying for Michigan’s crown.
