20,000 sales Details finally reveals as Coventry City breaks its season ticket sales record

Coventry City has said it has sold a record number of season tickets by surpassing 20,000 sales.

Last month, chairman Doug King said the club would freeze the price for the 2024-25 season and “suck up the cost pressures”.

With two months before the new season starts, the club has now reported it had beaten its previous record of 19,424.

Officials said it was “an amazing achievement”.

Speaking last month, Mr King, who became sole owner of the Championship club last year, said prices were being frozen in the hope of encouraging more fans to go to games.

There will also be changes to family zone season tickets with the introduction of a ticket exchange system to increase capacity in that area.

Additionally, 2,732 seats will be converted into safe standing areas for next season.

The club’s cheaper purchasing option for season tickets ends at 10:00 BST on 19 June.
