Noel Gallagher has explained the ‘real reason’ Oasis broke up in his ‘first interview’ since the band’s new Live ’25 tour was announced. The 57-year-old jokingly told a young fan that his fall out with brother Liam Gallagher was all to do with a teddy bear.
The ‘interview’ was captured on video and posted on X, which has since gone viral with thousands of views. The clip was uploaded by long-time fan, Steve Sheward, where he and his children bumped into the Champagne Supernova singer the Stone Island store in London.
The dad tells his kids that the man in front of them at the checkout till is from a “legendary band”. His eldest daughter then asks: “Is he getting back with his brother?”
This prompts one of his sons to then ask Liam: “Why did you fall out with your brother?” To which Noel jokingly replied: “Because he stole my teddy bear.”
The boy hits back, stating: “You’re lying!” But the Brit pop-rock star assures him: “I’m not lying, he stole it in 1978.”
The young boy, seemingly displeased with Noel’s reason, walks off before telling him: “You’re fake, see ya.” The whole group burst into laughter at his remark.
At the end of the video, Mr Sheward films Noel walking down the road with his kids. The singer jokingly asks one of his sons if they can drive. The youngster sternly tells him: “I’m only 11.”
The footage has gone down a treat with many fans, with Oasis Mania sharing the video with the caption: “Noel Gallagher’s first ‘interview’ since announcement of Oasis Reunion.”
After years of conflict, the iconic Gallagher brothers have decided to set aside their differences and reunite to revive Oasis. They are embarking on an extensive Live ’25 tour across the UK and Ireland – including two shows in Cardiff.
