777 Partners Everton takeover could fully collapse in next 24 hours after Farhad Moshiri update

Everton supporters have had to deal with plenty of turmoil both off and on the field so far this season, but they can rest easy knowing they’ll be in the Premier League next term.

Sean Dyche has managed to contend with some of the toughest circumstances any Premier League manager has ever faced, with potential point deductions and administration mooted as 777 Partners aim to complete their takeover.

New developments at the Miami-based firm have seen their already slow takeover stall even further, with new litigation filed accusing 777 and its co-founder Josh Wander of operating a fraudulent scheme.

The American company’s bid to gain power at Goodison Park appears to be hanging by a thread with Moshiri now doubting their financial power and with co-founder Wander and Steve Pasko removed from the company’s football division board after insolvency experts were called in.

Reports from i News on Friday (10 May) suggested the takeover bid was expected to be broken off within days and as of Monday (13 February), no official announcement has emerged from either party.

Will 777 Partners complete their takeover of Everton at Goodison Park?

While nobody other than Moshiri will know for certain when such an announcement will emerge on Merseyside, there is a genuine possibility it could be made in the next 24 hours so the Toffees can push to find alternative buyers.

It has always been suggested that there have been other parties interested in acquiring the Blues, but it has been Moshiri who has insisted on dealing with 777 and decided to only negotiate exclusively with them.

Now that even he has been left questioning whether or not they are capable of funding Everton and completing their takeover, you would imagine that he would be keen to cut ties with the Miami-based firm.

After eight months where seemingly very little progress has been made around this takeover, it would be best for everyone if this agreement was broken off before the end of Tuesday (14 May) so an alternative can be discovered.

Hopefully, Moshiri will see some sense and Everton fans can finally given some clarity after months of uncertainty.
