A fresh offer has been put forward to Farhad Moshiri following the collapse of the proposed deal with 777 Partners recently.
After almost one year of talks with 777, Everton are still no closer to finding a resolution when it comes to who may be their new owner.
The Toffees have been locked in talks with 777 for all that time, but the interested party have been unable to get the proposed deal over the line to take over Farhad Moshiri‘s majority stake.
Although it has been claimed Moshiri could still deal with 777 despite them missing their May deadline to complete the deal, new talks have been held with other parties.
And one of the offers which Moshiri has now received would offer Everton fans with a hugely unexpected twist at Goodison Park.
Farhad Moshiri receives unexpected Everton offer
The Everton takeover is proving to be drawn out process with the Toffees now set to go into the summer transfer window without anything having changes.
Sean Dyche was able to pull off a sensational end to the 2023/24 campaign which saw the Blues pull well clear of the drop zone.
However, Everton are going to have to sell players this month before the 30 June to comply with PSR regulations.
And going into the summer with the same ownership may well feel like a major blow to some fans who were hoping to see a fresh start on Merseyside.
According to Paul Joyce, Everton have now received an offer from A-Cap which would see all of the club’s debt refinanced for a minority equity stake in the club.
The twist comes as this would allow Moshiri to remain at the helm as the club’s majority owner.
But it is claimed the 69-year-old is not believed to be keen on the idea of sticking around at Goodison with his plans to get out of the club.
Everton also have other offers on the table
It does feel as if too much has now gone down for Moshiri to remain as the club’s owner with protests against the board staged just last year.
With the new stadium set to open next year, a fresh start at Everton could be beneficial for all and the report does state there are other offers being proposed.
The debacle with 777 has proven to be somewhat of a disaster with no resolution coming from the drawn out process.
However, it is positive to see Moshiri has now opened talks with other parties as he looks to complete a deal for the club.
