The Terriers – under new management next season after the appointment of former Barnsley coach Michael Duff – were relegated from the Championship along with Birmingham City and Rotherham United last season. They will get an early Yorkshire derby on August 31, the day after the transfer deadline, when they visit Rotherham’s New York Stadium.
The home game is scheduled for February 22.
Duff’s Oakwell return is set for February 15, with the home meeting between the two on October 5.
This season is the first under a new television deal which will see a minimum of 248 League One games shown on Sky Sports this season, with five from League One and Two per weekend.
The Football League and Sky have pledged broadcast selections up to the end of September will be confirmed within seven days, and that supporters will know before the start of the season about any changes to kick-off times prior to FA Cup third round weekend in January. By November 1 they should know selections until the first weekend in March.
