Green Bay Packers Favorite Local Ram Air Rocket Landing (Report)

The Green Bay Packers won’t need to make major changes to their offense to have a successful 2024 season. The team went 7-3 in the final 10 games of the season, and the NFL world got to see just how deadly they would be this season in the wild card round against the Dallas Cowboys. However, you can make small changes. One of those changes could be the addition of a local running back who has a killer reputation. The Green Bay Packers appear to be the frontrunners to sign the local running back.

FanSide’s Freddie Boston highlighted how Wisconsin Badgers running back Braylon Allen could be headed to the Packers.

The Green Bay Packers need a running back this offseason. AJ Dillon is an unrestricted free agent and his future with the Packers is uncertain.

Aaron Jones finished the season with the best five-game stretch of his NFL career and is almost certain to play another year in Green Bay. However, the Packers need to strengthen their running back lineup around Jones.

It remains to be seen whether the Packers will draft Dillon again. If not, they’ll likely be looking for a bigger running back in the draft.

“We still want to build a bigger team that can play in short yardage situations, play in weather and shut out games,” general manager Brian Gutekunst said, according to Packers.com. Ta. Wisconsin running back Braleon Allen is a potential target for the Packers on Day 2 of the 2024 NFL Draft and would be an ideal replacement for Dillon. Allen is 6-foot-2 and weighs 235 pounds and can help offensive linemen in situations where they lack range. According to Dane Brugler of The Athletic, 69.5 percent of Allen’s yards came after contact last season. What the Packers need in a cold weather game at Lambeau Field is a running back who can break tackles and confuse defenses.

No. 33’s Marcus Mosher compared Allen to Dillon. “Both have excellent contact balance and use their lower body strength to overcome arm tackles. Allen is a tough runner who constantly seeks contact and tries to overwhelm smaller defenders,” Mosher wrote. How will Braylon Allen fit into the Packers offense?

For better or worse, you can’t help but love Braylon Allen for who he is. Despite his size and strength, Allen plays with a wide base and impressive balance, allowing him to stay upright in the face of all types of tackles. He has an unusual physique, standing 6 feet 2 inches tall and weighing 245 pounds. He also has the leg strength to consistently push piledrivers and fall forward on contact to gain hidden yards.

As a runner, Allen knows full well who he is. He rarely dances and doesn’t watch how they play. His running style is practical and he plays with pads between the tackles. Adding him to the Packers’ offense would give them a running back who can drain him in short-yardage situations at a much lower cost than bringing back AJ Dillon.
