Manchester City are back in action on Saturday afternoon for their latest Premier League game.
After securing a 2-0 win over Chelsea in their opening match of the campaign last weekend, the Blues will welcome Ipswich Town to the Etihad Stadium for their first home outing
While City won 2-0 away from home in West London, the newly promoted side lost by the same scoreline to Liverpool in front of their home crowd.
With the two sides now set to meet on Saturday, a pundit has now shared his score prediction for this latest match.
Chris Sutton drops Man City score prediction for Ipswich Town match
In his latest column for BBC Sport where he previewed and predicted the scores for this weekend’s round of Premier League fixtures, Chris Sutton had this to say about City’s match against Ipswich.
“At home, it will be business as usual for City. 4-0.”
Ipswich could have a tough afternoon against City
Last season saw Ipswich win 28 of their 46 Championship games, scoring more goals (92) than any other side in the division.
Despite only having 38% possession against Liverpool, the Tractors still managed to register seven shots at goal against Liverpool.
However, with City scoring more goals (96) than any other side in the Premier League last season, with the majority (51) of which coming at home, it’s not too much of a surprise to see Sutton back the Blues to bag a significant victory on this occasion.
In the buildup to this game, Kieran McKenna said that City striker Erling Haaland is a unique player in terms of his attributes.
Having scored 27 goals in 31 league games last season, it seems likely that the Norwegian could end up finding himself on the scoresheet if Sutton’s prediction ends up being a correct one.
