Greaves, 23, is a left-footed centre-half who has made more than 175 appearances for Hull since graduating from their academy.

The 6ft 4in defender, who can also play at left-back, was named in the Championship Team of the Year for 2023/24.

He’s signed a five-year deal at Portman Road and will strengthen a central defensive unit that includes Luke Woolfenden, Cameron Burgess, Axel Tuanzebe and George Edmundson.

He links up with his new team-mates straight away and will join them on the trip to Austria for a pre-season training camp this weekend

He told Town TV: “I’m absolutely delighted to have signed.

“As soon as I heard about the interest, I was keen to get the move over the line. Now that it’s done I am really happy.

“I’ve spoken to the Kieran several times and those conversations have made me very excited for the future here.

“We spoke about tactics, playing style and life off the pitch and every time we’ve spoken it’s been spot on.

“I’m excited to have the opportunity to step up to the Premier League and I cannot wait to get started.”

The Blues have been in discussions with the Tigers for more than a week about a £35m+ double deal for Greaves and winger Jaden Philogene.

But Philogene now looks set to join Aston Villa, with Town renegotiating an individual deal for Greaves, who passed a medical earlier in the week.

Greaves is the third signing of the summer for Town, after £18m club record capture Omari Hutchinson and free agent defender Ben Johnson.

Young Manchester City striker Liam Delap is also expected to arrive for around £15m in short order.

The 21-year-old has passed his medical in Suffolk with an announcement due after the last few bits of paperwork are completed.
