Ipswich Town defender Leif Davis has been nominated for the PFA Championship Player of the Year award

Town defender Leif Davis has been nominated for the PFA Championship Player of the Year award. 

Leif contributed two vital goals and an incredible 18 assists during the 2023/24 Championship season, which ended with Town winning promotion to the Premier League. 

His efforts have seen him become one of six nominees for the PFA award, with the shortlist voted for by PFA members. 

The full list of nominees is: 

  • Adam Armstrong, Southampton 
  • Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall, Leicester City (now Chelsea) 
  • Leif Davis, Ipswich Town 
  • Georginio Rutter, Leeds United 
  • Crysencio Summerville, Leeds United (now West Ham United) 
  • Sammie Szmodics, Blackburn Rovers 

The winner will be revealed at the PFA Awards on 20 August at the Manchester Opera House.
