BREAKING NEWS: Cricket South Africa finally announces squad for white-ball series against England

The squad for the Test will be announced midway during the limited overs series.

South Africa Women will host England Women for the upcoming T20I and ODI series scheduled to commence from 24 November – 11 December in East London, Benoni, Tshwane, Kimberley, Durban and Potchefstroom. Both the teams will also tussle in a Test which is going to be held at the Mangaung Oval in Bloemfontein between 15 – 18 December.

The Test will be the comeback of red-ball cricket in the women’s arena to South Africa as the last one to be held since 19 March 2002. Cricket South Africa announced the squads for the upcoming white-ball series, while the squad for the Test will be announced midway during the limited-overs series.

Marizanne Kapp, Ayabonga Khaka and wicket-keeper batter Mieke de Ridder are rested for the T20I series against England. Only three players from the team that reached the final of the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup 2024 are included in the squad. Moreover, Faye Tunnicliffe is back into the squad for the first time since 2021. Seshnie Naidu will miss the series owing to academic commitments but will feature for SA U19s at the ICC U19 Women’s T20 World Cup in Malaysia in January next year.

Pacer, Ayanda Hlubi will be back in the ODI squad for the first time since she played against Australia in February. The left-handed batter, Lara Goodall, who missed the India series is also included in the squad.
