Kaizer Chiefs are set to make big signings. Mainly, upfront with some exciting attackers linked.
Kaizer Chiefs are considering letting go of one of their top attackers. Meanwhile, Nabi has decided that he wants to release this Amakhosi striker as well.
Meaning, Chiefs could have TWO strikers leave and they could sign a couple of red-hot targets too.
LIST OF CHIEFS ATTACKING TARGETS UNDER NABI
- Fiston Mayele
- Asenele Velebayi
- Orebunye
- Yawo Agbagno
- Michael Olunga
- Lungelo Nguse
- Thabang Sibanyoni
Initially, Mayele was Nabi’s main transfer target. In fact, Mayele was formerly coached by Chiefs’ new coach when he was still at AS FAR. However, his R36 million price tag has not been matched by Amakhosi as yet.
So, if Chiefs decide to sell Ashley Du Preez for R40 million to Vitoria SC, then an offer for Mayele will likely be tabled. Additionally, Amakhosi are still keen to sign Velebayi.
“Although they won’t pay over the odds for Velebayi, Chiefs are hopeful of finding common ground with Spurs for the exciting winger,” the insider told Phakaaati.
Meanwhile, another player formerly coached by Nabi has also been linked with a possible move to Naturena. However, this move is unlikely given the fact that Mayele is his main target upfront.
Furthermore, Chiefs has been offered a striker who is currently under well-known and widely respected agent, Mike Makaab.
“There was a buzz around highly-rated Togolese striker Yawo Agbagno being the striker that Mike Makaab offered to Chiefs for the 2024-25 season,” Goal stated.
Therefore, he still remains an option.
Moreover, Kenyan legend, Michael Olunga is another forward who has impressed Chiefs scouts, according to SNL.
