Kaizer Chiefs will have to release one of these players.

Kaizer Chiefs currently have the maximum number of foreign players allowed as per the PSL’s foreign quota of five.

However, they did not register Edmilson Dove who is currently injured. Meaning, when, or if, he returns Nasreddine Nabi and Amakhosi will have to choose which foreign-based player to release.

CHIEFS FORCED TO RELEASE PLAYER

As things stand, Fiacre Ntwari, Miguel Inacio, Thatayaone Ditlhokwe, Edson Castillo and Christian Saille are the five foreign-based Chiefs players.

Meanwhile, Dove has not officially left the club.

Therefore, Amakhosi must decide whether they let him go permanently or instead opt to release one of the aforementioned players when he returns.

Moreover, Ntwari and Inacio were recently signed. Meaning, Ditlhokwe, Castillo, Saile and Dove are the four players at risk of leaving Chiefs.

In fact, one of these men – at the very least – will have to leave the club. Therefore, if Dove does return after his injury then Saile or Dithokwe are the players most likely to leave. Amakhosi intend to sign a striker or two so it makes the most sense. Meanwhile, Ditlhokwe almost left in the recent transfer window after Nabi signed Miguel, Rushwin Dortley and Bradley Cross in defence.

NABI HAS BIG DECISIONS TO MAKE

The recent PSL transfer window has only just closed.

However, Chiefs are already planning some big moves in the next transfer window. So, Nabi must decide which foreign-based player to release as well as which striker to sign. Furthermore, they are busy working on a bigger and better deal for one of their main attacking targets.

Additionally, Nabi has instructed Amakhosi scouts to search in a new continent for a prolific scorer. This comes following his exciting promise to sign world class players to Chiefs in January.
