Breaking News: Kaizer Chiefs linked with SIX attacking targets valued at R218 million

Kaizer Chiefs have been linked to many exciting attacking names during this transfer window. Here are the six biggest, including a legend valued at R177 million.

Chiefs have been looking to sign a reliable goal-getter for some time but their search isn’t just focused on central number nines. The strikers they’ve been linked with in recent weeks include Kenyan legend Michael Olunga, prolific Congolese star Fiston Mayele and FAR Rabat and Botswana man Tumisang Orebonye. On the local front, Chiefs’ pursuit of Cape Town Spurs winger Asanele Velebayi has been much publicized while there have been links to 25-year-old Golden Arrows man Lungelo Nguse. The hottest story this week, however, has been a public declaration of interest in Oswin Appollis by Chiefs’ Sporting Director, Mr Motaung Jnr. Appollis scored a brace for Bafana in their recent 3-2 win over South Sudan.

Transfer recap: Dortley is already up and running for his country

Chiefs could opt for three men at the back in 2024-2025, such is the depth they have in central defence. Thatayaone Ditlhokwe and Spiwe Msimango were the club’s first-choice duo last term while new boys Rushwin Dortley and Inacio Miguel will want to stake an immediate claim in Nasreddine Nabi’s starting XI from day one. 22-year-old Dortley started both of Bafana’s recent Afcon qualifiers; a 2-2 draw with Uganda and a 3-2 win against South Sudan.
