Kaizer Chiefs have recently handed the captaincy armband to a new man.

Kaizer Chiefs are set to undergo major changes under Nasreddine Nabi.

So, Amakhosi are currently linked with several massive transfer targets. Furthermore, Chiefs have EIGHT players heading out of Naturena. Now, speculation is rife over the Amakhosi captaincy after Nabi handed the armband to a new player yet again.

CHIEFS TO ANNOUNCE NEW CAPTAIN?

Yusuf Maart is currently the captain of Chiefs.

However, Inacio Miguel was handed the captaincy armband in their recent 1-0 loss to SuperSport United in the BetWay Premiership. What makes this even more interesting is that Yusuf Maart is fully fit. Meaning, Nabi clearly sees Miguel as a leader. So, will Maart lose his role as captain of Amakhosi and will Miguel take over.

Only time will tell. Maart is still registered as the first team captain.

Therefore, he is likely to resume this role in the future. Ultimately, Miguel is being dubbed as a future captain which is why Nabi wants to give him leadership experience now.

AMAKHOSI PACKED WITH LEADERS

Chiefs have leaders both on and off the pitch.

Maart is captain. Whilst, Miguel is a future captain. Additionally, the likes of Bruce Bvuma and Njabulo Ngcobo provide national experience having represented Bafana Bafana in the past.

Finally, Amokhosi legend Itumeleng Khune may no longer be a player but he will not shy from giving advice and guidance to the current crop of players if needed.
