Kaizer Chiefs are full of surprises. The latest of these sees a new player spotted.
The PSL transfer window officially closed on Friday, 20 September 2024. However, that does not mean that Kaizer Chiefs are finished making changes to their squad.
So, these FOUR Amakhosi players are likely heading out of Naturena next. Meanwhile, Chiefs could sign these ex-Orlando Pirates stars right now. Finally, a new player has been spotted in their squad.
NEW PLAYER SPOTTED IN CHIEFS SQUAD
Thabo Mokeona was listed in Chiefs 2024/25 PSL squad by two well-known brands.
In fact, locally SuperSport and internationally, ESPN.
However, Chiefs have not announced him as yet. The talented defender is a Chiefs’ DDC product. If he has been promoted, he is unlikely to feature for the senior side given the current pecking order.
NEW SIGNINGS CHANGE PECKING ORDER UNDER NABI
Inagio Miguel and Rushwin Dortley have started both of Amakhosi’s opening Betway Premiership matches. Moreover, they are expected to continue building a string partnership at the heart of Amakhosi’s defense under Nabi.
Meaning, even Given Msimango, Zitha Kwinika, Thatayaone Ditlhokwe have fallen down the pecking order. Meaning, Aden McCarthy is unlikely to feature for the first team this season. Therefore, Mokoena is unlikely to earn any minutes for the first team.
It is unclear whether this is a mistake or he was just invited to earn training experience.
Meanwhile, Bradley Cross and Gaston Sirino also look set to be regular starters for Chiefs under Nabi. Meaning, Happy Mashiane finds himself in a similar situation again this season – unlikely to earn much playing time.
Additionally, the return of Njabulo Blom in tandem with signing Sirino sees the likes of Mduduzi Mdantsane (injured), Tebogo Potsane and Letlogonolo Matlou all falling further down the pecking order.
