Kaizer Chiefs will be making changes to their strike force in January.

Kaizer Chiefs are in the market for a new striker – or two.

Amakhosi failed to sign any new attackers in the recent PSL transfer window. However, this is set to change in January with scouts instructed to actively search for a prolific goal scorer.

Meanwhile, with the arrival of new strikers on the cards – a couple of Amakhosi strikers could be heading out of Naturena.

CHIEFS STRIKERS HEADING OUT OF NATURENA

Christian Saille is likely to leave Chiefs in January.

Initially, he was not a part of Nabi’s plans but they could not secure a new striker in time. Therefore, Saille survived the cut. Moreover, Ashley Du Preez did too – on the same basis. Chiefs were offered a staggering R40 million for their attacker from Portuguese outfit, Vitoria SC.

Amakhosi management were considering letting him go if they secure another attacker. Failure to do so resulted in the option being put off the table. Thus, Du Preez remains at Naturena.

Meaning, if Chiefs manage to secure an attacker in January then they could consider letting Du Preez go. Ultimately, this will depend on a combination of factors over the next few months. Firstly, his form from now until January and if Vitoria SC are still interested then.

Unfortunately, for Saille he is one of the Amakhosi stars heading out under Nabi.

PLANS UNDER WAY FOR NEW AMAKHOSI ATTACKERS

Chiefs are currently working on an improved offer for one of their main striker targets.

Additionally, Nabi has instructed his scouts to look for a clinical striker in South America.

Meanwhile, the likes of Oswin Appollis, Percy Tau and Asanele Velebayi have all been linked with the Soweto giants. Nabi has been given the full backing and financial support from Amakhosi management as they aim to secure a big-money, big name striker signing.
