Royal AM owner MaMkhize has a massive SARS bill and she still owes ex-Kaizer Chiefs star Samir Nurkovic some cash.
MAMKHIZE STILL OWES EX-KAIZER CHIEFS STAR NURKOVIC
Royal AM have yet to settle their R12 million debt to former striker Samir Nurkovic. According to SABC Sport, the Pietermaritzburg-based outfit was ordered to pay the former Kaizer Chiefs striker a two-year contract in full by FIFA to him and his lawyers, with interest accrued included.
Nurkovic moved to Royal AM on a free transfer last year. However, the club terminated his contract after just three months. According to reports, the experienced Serbian wasn’t paid a cent during his time there. This debt bow gets added to a massive tax bill from SARS which we’ll cover next.
MAMKHIZE MUST PAY R37 MILLION TAX BILL
The High Court of South Africa on Monday, 16 October 2023 demanded she cough up her debts to SARS.
It is understood the Thwihli Thwahla owner had unpaid taxes due to the nation’s tax collecting authority. The Warrant of Execution from the High Court further directed the sheriff of the court “to attach and remove the movable property of the Royal AM”.
“The Execution Creditor / Plaintiff [SARS] obtained judgment on 16 October 2023 against the Execution / Defendant [Royal AM] for:
“1. The payment of the sum of R37, 915, 549.77 [Thirty-seven million nine hundred and fifteen thousand five hundred and forty-nine rand and seventy-seven cents].
“2. Interest on the sum claimed in paragraph 1 at the applicable rate per annum from 1 November 2023 to the date of payment, the said rate[s] of interest and the date from which such interest is payable having been determined by the Execution Creditor / Plaintiff [SARS],” the Warrant of Execution reads as seen by FARPost.
NGCOBO HEADING OUT?
Meanwhile, another former Chiefs favourite is on the brink of an exit from Naturena.
According to SoccerLaduma, Chiefs boss Nasreddine Nabi wants to loan Nkosingiphile Ngcobo out in January.
“Nabi is believed to be intending to loan out Ngcobo as soon as possible, probably during the January transfer window,” the inside stated.
