Three top clubs chasing Kaizer Chiefs star

Kaizer Chiefs are reportedly entertaining offers from three PSL clubs for one of their talented yet fringe stars. The transfer deadline is edging ever closer.

Radebe needs game time

According to SoccerLaduma, 24-year-old Kaizer Chiefs midfielder Sabelo Radebe is the subject of interest from SuperSport, Stellenbosch and AmaZulu. Chiefs are examining the offers to which is the right fit for the player and his prospects of playing time.

“Sabelo Radebe is one of the players that the coach has indicated needs to go on loan to gain more game-time. The midfield is packed with experienced and high-quality players, some of whom are currently outperforming Sabelo. It wouldn’t be fair to keep him on the sidelines while he trains every day.
Hence, the decision to loan him out and allow him to play regularly is crucial,” their source revealed.

“It’s not just about loaning out a player; it’s important that he goes to a club where he will actually play. There has been interest from SuperSport United, as coach Gavin Hunt is familiar with him, as well as from AmaZulu and Stellenbosch FC. The remaining task in the next few days is to determine which team is the best fit for him and to agree on the terms of the loan deal.
The club is working diligently to ensure this happens before the transfer window closes on Friday,” the source added.

The next five Kaizer Chiefs matches

Meanwhile, Amakhosi will be eager to follow up on their win over Gallants as they look ahead to upcoming tests. The matchwinner on the opening day, teenager Mfundo Vilakazi, will be absent against SuperSport and potentially Sundowns because of his call-up to the South Africa U20 Men’s National team for the Cosafa Cup.

  • AmaZulu – Wednesday, September 25, King Zwelithini Stadium, 19:30
  • Mamelodi Sundowns – Saturday, September 28, FNB Stadium, 15:00

  • Magesi FC – Wednesday, October 30, Old Peter Mokaba Stadium, 19:30
