Unsettled Kaizer Chiefs defender wants out?

Kaizer Chiefs defender Thatayaone Ditlhokwe is reportedly unhappy at the club and wants to leave.

Botswana international is yet to play a game this season under Nasreddine Nabi. In the three matches Chiefs played, the former SuperSport United defender was not even on the bench.

According to Soccer Laduma, Ditlhokwe is looking to leave the Soweto giants either on loan or permanently. An insider told the publication that the Kaizer Chiefs defender has been shuffled down the pecking order since Nabi’s arrival.

Nabi has opted to play Miguel and Dortely in the heart of defence, with Cross occupying the left-back position.

“For now it’s clear that he won’t have much time to play as the coach has set up his preferred defenders whether as central defenders or left-backs where TT can also play. Rushwin Dortely and Miguel Inacio are the preferred pairing in central defence while injured Bongani Sam and Bradley Cross are set to exchange times at left-back.

Ditlhokwe Kaizer Chiefs last season but the Motswana defender has struggled to secure his place in the starting 11. He played a total of 21 games across all competitions last season. Before joining Amakhosi, Ditlhokwe made 80 appearances for Matsatsantsa scoring three times.

With Given Msimango placed as a backup defender, Ditlhokwe’s chances of playing regularly for Kaizer Chiefs are slim.
