£22m Leeds midfield wizard has made it clear about his feelings on Elland Road future

Jack Harrison has spoken up about his aborted move from Leeds United to Leicester City on deadline day in January in an interview with The Telegraph – and confesses that he felt “weak” after Leeds pulled the plug on his move.

Harrison, 26, is currently in the best shape of his life. In the six League games since Javi Gracia took over, he has scored three goals and provided two assists. Tuesday against Nottingham Forest, he scored.

Yet things may have gone a lot differently. In fact, according to The Telegraph, Leeds called his agent and canceled the £22 million deal while he was two hours into a medical with Leicester. Harrison’s head would have been disorganized.

After January, until Gracia arrived, his form began to decline. Speaking now and thinking back on the move, Harrison reveals how the choice to stop a move left him feeling the “most vulnerable” he has been in his footballing career, to date.

It was the most exposed I’ve ever felt. What goes on behind the scenes was a major eye-opener. I had to accept the offer the moment I received the call informing me that it was off. To proceed, you must accept the chaos.

In hindsight and looking at the Premier League table, the proper option was made for Harrison. He had the option of joining Leicester, a team that now has Brendan Rodgers out and is in danger of finishing in the bottom three.

They still have a very real danger of losing, just as Leeds do. But, Rodgers’ departure has caused discord at Leicester, while Gracia has Leeds headed in the right direction and four points ahead of them. A new agreement is nearly completed.
