Leeds were nursing their wounds after a 5-1 Premier League defeat to Crystal Palace last weekend, with Javi Gracia sure to be looking for a reply despite an obviously challenging fixture against Liverpool.
Many fans are wondering whether or not Max Wober will be fit enough to play for Leeds against Liverpool.
Leeds have surrendered 10 goals and looked shaky defensively in the three games he has missed due to a hamstring injury sustained while on international duty.
According to Leeds Live, Gracia has informed Wober that he will be evaluated in training this weekend with a view to participating.
Tyler Adams remains out of the side with a hamstring injury of his own, sitting out alongside Stuart Dallas as one of the squad’s long-term absentees.
As our graphic above shows, Wober isn’t risked whatever his fitness situation, with Leeds looking ahead to a week that sees them face Fulham, Leicester City and Bournemouth.
Instead, Liam Cooper and Rasmus Kristensen have been called up ahead of Illan Meslier to the back four, joining Junior Firpo and Robin Koch in place of Pascal Struijk and Luke Ayling.
In Adams’ absence, Marc Roca and Weston McKennie continue, with Luis Sinisterra and Jack Harrison remaining Leeds’ strongest wide options despite faltering against Palace.
Rodrigo should be recalled to lead the attack in place of Patrick Bamford, with Brenden Aaronson providing assistance and energy from an advanced midfield position.
