Bournemouth moves to seal the third Leeds united Player in the space of just 12 Months

Bournemouth and Leeds United crossed paths on the negotiating table quite a bit last summer and they could do so again this time around, for a current Elland Road star.

USA captain Tyler Adams moved permanently to The Vitality Stadium, a side that boast Lewis Cook in the middle of the park and manager Andoni Iraola, who was linked with Leeds following Jesse Marsch’s exit.

Luis Sinisterra then moved to the south coast in the final moments of deadline day in a sort of swap-loan deal, with Jaidon Anthony moving to Elland Road. Anthony has now confirmed his return to The Cherries.

Leeds have since agreed the permanent sale of Sinisterra to Bournemouth, while Iraola’s men managed to hijack a Leeds move to reunite Daniel Farke and right-back Max Aarons at the start of the 23-24 season.

Even the signing of Karl Darlow saw Leeds edge out Bournemouth to nab the goalkeeper’s signature. So, plenty of cross-over involving Bournemouth and Leeds last year and now it could happen this summer.

Bournemouth want to sign a third Leeds player in 12 months

Indeed, a report from The Sun claims that Bournemouth are in the running to sign Crysencio Summerville after his wonderful 2023-24 season. A huge 31 goals and assists, winning the Player of the Season award.

It is claimed that Liverpool and Chelsea are leading the way for Summerville, who is valued between £35m and £40m. Fabrizio Romano gave an update, confirming that both Premier League heavyweights are keen.

Now, The Sun state that the two big hitters are not alone in their interest in Summerville. Bournemouth, as well as West Ham and Fulham, are keen to lure him back to the Premier League in the coming months.

Which move is best for Leeds, and Summerville himself?

For Leeds, the best move is where the money is and probably the biggest initial fee. Chelsea are likely to splash the cash again, while Arne Slot is an admirer of Summerville having shown interest at Feyenoord.

West Ham need wingers, with Said Benrahma likely to depart having spent the second half of last season out on loan. Bournemouth are well-stocked though, after signing Sinisterra and Anthony returning there.

They have plenty of other options, too. Fulham will need a replacement for Willian if he departs, so there are options there for Summerville and in terms of game time, Fulham or West Ham probably suits him.
