BREAKING NEWS: Leeds United to sign Hugo Bueno as Wolves make transfer decision

Leeds United are interested in making a push to sign Hugo Bueno from Wolves, according to Dave Azzopardi.

The Talking Wolves founder, with over 20,000 followers on X (4 August) notes that the club has joined the race alongside Celtic and Feyenoord. The planned move would serve as a straight loan.

It comes following the confirmed departure of left-wing superstar Crysencio Summerville to West Ham, as Daniel Farke looks to bolster his entire squad.

Hugo Bueno to Leeds United?

Following recent exits for the likes of Summerville and Archie Gray, it always felt as if the club would move quickly.

As they get ready for the start of the new campaign this weekend, it makes sense for Farke to start getting the pieces in place. When it comes to Bueno, this could be a real hidden gem signing for Leeds United.

Bueno is creative, he’s gritty, and he has an incredible engine.

He made 22 Premier League appearances for Wolves last season, coming in the 97th percentile for successful blocks and the 82nd percentile for clearances (FBref). He isn’t going to be a dominant attacking presence at the age of 21, but he’s continuing to develop his game.

In essence, he’s maturing at a fast rate.

He has Premier League experience, he’s willing to learn, and he was a popular figure at Molineux last season. If Leeds can get this one over the finish line ahead of Celtic, it’d be a real sign of their promotion intent.
