Coach vow to take Leeds players away as star too good for Elland Road

Wales manager Rob Page believes Daniel James is too talented to play in the Championship for Leeds United.

Leeds United and Wales international winger Daniel James, according to Rob Page, is good enough to play in the Premier League.

Leeds were demoted from the Premier League and will play in the Championship next season.

The Wales international winger, 25, spent the 2022-23 season on loan at Fulham from West Yorkshire.

This season, James made five starts and 15 substitute appearances for the Cottagers in the Premier League.

In those games, the winger scored two goals and assisted on one.

“I do believe DJ (James) is a Premier League player,” Page remarked of James. If I were a Premier League manager and found out he was available, I’d take him.

“I’m obligated to say that because I’m his Welsh manager, but he’s always a threat to me.”

“He still has things to work on, but with his speed, it takes a brave team to take a high line against him.” I believe he could easily return to the Premier League.”

If Daniel James is given the opportunity to leave Leeds United for a Premier League team, we believe he should take it.

The 25-year-old has previously played in the Premier League for Manchester United, Leeds United, and Fulham.

If he returns to the Championship, it will be a step down for the winger.

The former Swansea City winger has proven that he can compete in English football’s top level.

James has scored 12 goals and created 16 good opportunities in 106 Premier League outings so far.

Of course, no one is claiming that James is a world-class player or that he is good enough to start for Manchester City or Liverpool.

However, there is little doubt that James would be an asset to any Premier League club in the middle or lower half of the standings.
