Daniel Farke release list of Leeds United players to leave Elland Road as club set up for rebuild

Leeds United fans have spoken out about the current Whites side.

Leeds United fans have sent a clear message to new manager Daniel Farke ahead of the forthcoming Championship season. Although the new Whites manager has only recently arrived, there are many decisions to be made regarding the future of players at Elland Road.

So far this summer, transfer activity has been low-key, with the 49ers takeover delaying practically everything while they await EFL approval. Farke will take over pre-season and put the players through their paces this week as he seeks another promotion.

Leeds midfielder Tyler Adams, who supporters would like to keep beyond the summer, is one player who might be crucial in any promotion bid. In our recent ‘keep or sell survey,’ 84% of those who voted said they wanted to keep the American international this summer.

Given the extent of interest in the 24-year-old central midfielder, who is apparently on West Ham United’s transfer wish list to replace Declan Rice, this could be tricky. Adams has previously been linked with Newcastle United and Manchester United, while Aston Villa and Brighton were among the rumored frontrunners for his signature last month.

Goalkeeper Joel Robles is another player around whom supporters want Farke to construct his promotion foundation.71% of voters want the club to offer the Spanish goalkeeper a new contract after he was welcomed back for pre-season training.

For the duration of last season, the 33-year-old was second fiddle to Illan Meslier, but was elevated to a prominent role under Sam Allardyce as the pressure mounted on the young Frenchman. Despite the Whites earning up just one point from the four games, Robles did absolutely nothing wrong throughout that span.

Daniel James returns to the club this summer after spending the previous season on loan with Fulham. There has been little talk about his future at Elland Road, which could indicate that he will stay this season and play a significant part for the team.

70% of respondents want the Wales international to stay, making him the club’s third most popular player. Danish defender Rasmus Kristensen, who has been linked with a move to AS Roma, was the fourth most voted for player to stay, with 66% voting in his favor.

Despite having just made one senior appearance for the Whites, the lone goalie currently on the books, Kristoffer Klaesson, received 66% of the vote in favor of staying at the club. Chances to play in the Championship are likely to grow, especially if Illan Meslier progresses on.

Adam Forshaw received 63% of the vote in support of continuing at Elland Road; he, like Robles, has been asked back for training but faces an uncertain future at the club.
