Daniel Farke reveals why he kept faith in Manor Solomon after his Leeds brace vs Swansea

Manor Solomon has not had the best of times since joining Leeds United from Tottenham Hotspur, but Daniel Farke has still kept his faith in him.

Solomon moved to Leeds on loan from Premier League club Tottenham in the summer of 2024. The Israel international winger is expected to stay at Elland Road until the end of the season.

The 25-year-old has not been particularly great overall at Leeds this season. Solomon had injury problems. That affected him.

Solomon had not done well for Leeds when he had started in recent times, but that could be about to change now. That is because the Tottenham-owned attacker scored twice on Sunday afternoon.

Daniel Farke gives verdict on Leeds United winger Manor Solomon

Leeds beat Swansea City 4-3 in the Championship on Sunday. Solomon found the back of the net twice at the Swansea.com Stadium.

After the match, Farke said that it was a difficult call to keep the winger in the starting line-up, but the Leeds head coach did so because of how impressive he has been in training at Thorp Arch this week.

When asked about being patient with Solomon, Farke said, as quoted in LeedsLive: “Always difficult call. Can have ideas as a manager. He had a rusty start after injury. Sharp in training this week. Gaining some momentum this week. Had to be up to the players to carry it through.”

Wilfried Gnonto praises Manor Solomon

Solomon has now made four starts and five substitute appearances in the Championship for Leeds this season. The winger has scored two goals and given one assist in those games.

The Israel international’s hard work in training has not gone unnoticed by his teammates. Wilfried Gnonto has said that Solomon deserved to score against Swansea.

Gnonto, who scored the winner for Leeds, said: “We are really happy for him because he has been working really hard and he deserves it.”

Leeds will return to action on Wednesday evening when they take on Luton Town at Elland Road in the Championship. Solomon is very likely to start the match.
