Daniel Farke faces the media on Friday afternoon for his pre-match press conference. The Leeds United manager will take questions from television, radio, print and online journalists at Thorp Arch ahead of the Swansea City clash on Sunday.
Here is a run-down of some of the main topics on the agenda for the boss to address at the training ground today.
Swansea City may be 11th in the league table, but they have scored the fewest goals of any side in the division. Luke Williams’s side have scored just 11 times in 15 matches, but, as you have probably guessed, they do owe their mid-table posting to a very solid defence.
Only four teams have conceded fewer goals up to now and Leeds are one of them. Fine margins have decided virtually all of the Welsh side’s games, with narrow wins, defeats and draws. Farke’s thoughts on what makes them such a solid, but blunt side, will be interesting.
While there are always more players away with their countries than Farke would like, he may be quite pleased with the minutes shared around over the last fortnight. Max Wober returned to action after his injury, missing Austria’s first game, but then getting a full 90 minutes five days ago.
Manor Solomon is in need of match time and got it in both of Israel’s matches. Brenden Aaronson, arguably in need of some downtime, missed USA’s first game through illness and was only a second-half substitute in the next game.
Ao Tanaka, who has also played a lot in recent weeks, missed Japan’s first match before playing a full 90 on Tuesday afternoon. Daniel James, who has been treated cautiously by Farke, was a half-time substitute in Wales’s first game before coming off in the second half of their Tuesday night clash.
Largie Ramazani looked particularly active during a commercial event on Wednesday night and teased a picture of himself in boots last week too. Everyone will be hopeful of a positive update from Farke on the Belgian winger.
