Fans delighted as Leeds youngster made his finally decision about Elland road this summer

Leeds United fans will be relieved to learn that winger Luis Sinisterra may be staying at Elland Road after hinting in a social media video.

Following the Whites’ relegation to the Championship this summer, the Colombia international has been linked with a move away from West Yorkshire [TuttoMercatoWeb].

However, the 24-year-old has since appeared in an official club video broadcast on TikTok on 2 August, in which he said his goal for the forthcoming season is to assist Leeds in regaining promotion to the Premier League.

The winger being in an official club film is great news for Whites fans because, unlike a lot of other players who signed last summer, it means he isn’t on his way out.

Sinisterra stated in the video that he is excited for the first game of the season and to see the supporters when his team hosts Cardiff City at home on August 6.

After pretending to be overjoyed to be in the video, the Colombian is clearly focused on assisting the Whites in regaining promotion to the Premier League.

That will have earned him far more respect than some of his teammates from the previous season, with Robin Koch, Max Wober, Brmus Aaronson, Rasmus Kristensen, Marc Roca, and Rodrigo all leaving after the club failed to keep them in the top flight.

The winger missed much of the season due to injury after joining Elland Road from Feyenoord for a record £21.4million deal a year ago, but he still managed seven goals in 22 games.

Following a handful of promising performances in the Premier League last season, he will be eager to add to those stats and play a crucial role in the Whites’ promotion campaign.

Leeds’ desire to recoup the majority of the money paid on the forward has undoubtedly turned off a lot of potential suitors thus far this summer.

But the club won’t worry if there’s little interest in signing him, and they’ll be glad to see he’s ready to battle as Daniel Farke looks to challenge at the high end of the Championship when the season begins.

In other Leeds United news, Willy Gnonto has spoken out about his prospective move.
