There is an appreciation at Leeds United that Crysencio Summerville is susceptible to a move away from the club following their failure to win promotion, according to Ben Jacobs who made this claim in an interview with Give Me Sport.
The Whites could see a number of players move on this summer, with the West Yorkshire club needing to balance their books after their play-off final defeat against Southampton.
Summerville, who was exceptional for the Whites during the 2023/24 campaign, is one player who has been heavily linked with a move away from Elland Road in recent months.

Considering how much of a threat the Dutchman was in front of goal last term, it’s no surprise that Premier League teams have taken an interest in him.
Leeds are in a strong negotiating position with the player still having two years left on his deal in West Yorkshire, but the potential need to raise funds makes him a strong candidate to leave the club.
Archie Gray and Willy Gnonto are other candidates who could be in the frame to leave Elland Road, but Jack Harrison is one player who definitely won’t be sold this summer, having re-joined Everton on loan.
Ben Jacobs on Crysencio Summerville’s Leeds United future
Although Jacobs believes the rumour floating around about Leeds needing to generate £100m in player sales this summer is exaggerated, he has hinted that Summerville may be on his way out of Elland Road this summer.
He told Give Me Sport: “He has never tried to force his way out of Leeds, but there’s always been an appreciation at the end of the season if Leeds were not up, that he’d be susceptible to a move, and part of that is just the fact that Leeds need to raise funds.
“This idea that it has to be £100 million is a little bit high, according to sources I speak to, because it doesn’t factor in the fact that Tyler Adams and Luis Sinisterra have moved to Bournemouth.
“It is going to be reflected on this next set of financial books, and therefore the number that Leeds would need to bring in is a little bit lower, but it’s still significant and Luis Sinisterra might get you somewhere close to half the number that they need.”
Daniel Farke will be desperate to keep Crysencio Summerville at Leeds United
Summerville was such an important figure last term, playing an important part in guiding Leeds to the play-off final.
When the final came around, he was unable to perform well and was even substituted, which was a blow for him.
However, that game shouldn’t define him, because he has shown plenty of quality in other games and he could be an asset in the top flight.
It would certainly be a big blow for Leeds if they lose him and especially for manager Farke who may not have the funds to secure an adequate replacement.
However, the likes of Gnonto and Dan James can step up if needed.
