If Leeds United is able to stay up, these three reported arrivals might have a significant impact on the club

Two games remain this season in the Premier League for Leeds and Sam Allardyce, and the Whites have given themselves a fighting chance of staying up after clinching a point against Newcastle United.

Wins in either of their final two games give Leeds a huge chance of staying in the league, which would surely see the takeover pushed through by the San Francisco 49ers, where investment is expected to overhaul the side.

Up and down the side, new transfers are needed to ensure that Leeds don’t slip into the same problems as they did in the last two seasons.

Here, we look at three signings that Leeds have been linked with that could hugely change the side’s fortunes…

Milos Kerkez

The defense will clearly require additional investment in the coming months, regardless of whether Leeds keep their Premier League status, but if they do, several eye-catching targets should be considered.

Starting at left-back, AZ Alkmaar’s Milos Kerkez was linked with Leeds during the January transfer window, and he has since helped his side to a Europa Conference League semi-final.

Some fans may be concerned about Kerkez’s age, as he is only 19 years old, but he is tipped for big things in the game, as he is already a Hungary international, and has enormous potential for the future.

Five goals and eight assists from left-back demonstrate his ability to provide in the final third while still being a strong defender.

Viktor Gyokeres

Leeds simply cannot afford to continue relying on Patrick Bamford at the top of the pitch, as he continues to squander chances every week.

Rodrigo, the other option, is merciless in front of goal but lacks the hold-up play and pressing quality that Bamford does.

As a result, Leeds require someone who can do both as a lone striker – enter Coventry City’s Viktor Gyokeres.

The Swede finished the Championship season as the second-highest scorer with 21 goals and 10 assists, propelling his team to the play-offs with superb finishing and powerful hold-up play.

If Leeds are seeking for a new striker, the lately linked Gyokeres appears to be a no-brainer.

Van den Boomen Branco

following Pablo Hernandez left the club in 2021, but especially following Mateusz Klich’s January departure, the team has been in desperate need of creativity.

While Marc Roca needs to find another gear, having someone to take the burden of moving the ball off his shoulders will be enormously beneficial.
