Manchester United are now being linked with a Leeds United player who knows new Old Trafford star Joshua Zirkzee well, as the summer fire sale at Elland Road looks set to continue.
Erik ten Hag managed to keep himself in the Man United dugout this summer and has responded by signing a fellow countryman in the form of Zirkzee after he starred in Serie A last season with Bologna.

Manchester United want Leeds star but he could cost £40m
Zirkzee is now at Manchester United but ten Hag is not finished there. Having also signed Leny Yoro for a fee north of £50m, they have turned their attention to Elland Road and namely, Crysencio Summerville.
Leeds Live say Manchester United are among Summerville’s suitors despite not previously being linked with the pocket-sized Dutchman. Summerville is said to be ‘weighing up his options’ and rated at £40m.
Newcastle, Palace and Aston Villa are interested, as are Glen Kamara’s new side Rennes in Summerville. The winger is currently in Germany with Leeds ahead of the 2024-25 season but looks likely to depart.
Zirkzee and Crysencio Summerville know each other well
While the duo came through at Feyenoord, they only shared the pitch once at club level – a 1-0 win for Feyenoord’s U19 side against PSV back in 2016-17. It is with their country that the duo combined most.
Indeed, Zirkzee and Summerville shared the pitch 16 times for The Netherlands youth sides, every step of the way from U16’s through to the U21’s. Summerville is likely to catch Zirkzee up and win senior caps.
A move back to the Premier League would certainly help Summerville do that, but he should be way of a fan backlash from Leeds supporters should he choose to join ten Hag and Zirkzee at Manchester United.
