Leeds United fans are all in agreement after what ‘inept’ Daniel Farke did in Norwich City draw

Leeds United will be fairly satisfied with a 1-1 draw at Norwich City but will certainly be left feeling what if.

Despite being the better side for much of the first half, Leeds went into the break a goal behind after Joe Rodon’s rash challenge inside the box allowed Josh Sargent to step up and score a penalty.

Wilfried Gnonto was once again Leeds’ best player on the night and he went inches away from an instant equaliser when his effort came crashing off the post.

But Leeds’ domination was eventually rewarded 15 minutes into the second half when Gnonto sent Largie Ramazani through on goal to net his second for the club.

Leeds had looked the most likely to go on and win the game until Daniel Farke‘s decision to use his bench completely swung the momentum back in favour of the home side, who were unable to find a winner.

What Leeds fans are saying about Farke subs

It is understandable opted to use all five of his substitutions considering there is a game at Sunderland on Friday, but his choices were bizarre.

Leeds lost all of their pace with each change he decided to make and a front two of Patrick Bamford and Joel Piroe completely killed anything Farke’s side had in attack.

One supporter actually believes Farke decides who he is going to bring off the bench before the game and struggles to recall a game in which his subs have worked.

Another said: “Farke killed the game. Not about saving players for the next game when the game in front of us is there to be had. Huge points against a team who will be around us this season. Poor management again.”

One then added: “Solid point on hard field. Unexplainable changes by Farke. Hopefully everything will be fine with Gruev. I am a little worried for Friday.”

A fifth Leeds supporter says he is now ‘rapidly losing patience’ with Farke after what he did this evening, and simply couldn’t believe Gnonto and Ramazani were brought off.

Farke may have cost Leeds against Norwich

Aside from bringing Piroe on when Leeds are ahead, it is difficult to recall when a Farke substitution has actually worked.

It is baffling beyond belief why he would decide to take all of Leeds’ pace off when they were comfortably the better side at 1-1.

Of course, it is likely he will have had one eye on the game on Friday but there was a game to be won at Carrow Road where Leeds were the better side.

Farke needs to hope now that Leeds come away with all three points against Sunderland otherwise the last 20 minutes were a complete waste of time.
