All of the latest LUFC transfer rumours and gossip, as the Whites have already begun to prepare their summer transfer activity.
Leeds United’s ‘table free offer’ to Real Madrid’s Carlo Ancelotti is appealing.
Leeds United have reportedly filed a free transfer bid for Real Madrid striker Mariano Diaz ahead of the summer transfer window.
The Whites have struggled offensively this season, with only one player scoring more than five goals in the Premier League this season, top goalscorer Rodrigo.
However, Diaz, who has only played 62 minutes of football for Los Blancos this season, is available due to his contract expiring at the end of the season and is on Leeds’ wishlist, according to Spanish outlet DefensaCentral.
Despite his paucity of playing time, Madrid manager Carlo Ancelotti earlier praised the 29-year-old after his involvement in a win over La Liga side Elche in 2021, saying: “He did a brilliant job.” He shown excellent dedication, provided a nice assist for the opening goal, and was decisive.”
Leeds United may have received a significant boost in their pursuit of AZ Alkmaar striker Milos Kerkez during the summer transfer window.
Sebastijan, the 19-year-old left-back’s agent, has acknowledged that he would like to see his son play in the Premier League, albeit he may prefer a move to La Liga.
“We want something a little different, I would prefer England, and Milos would prefer Spain,” he told Hungarian source M4Sport earlier this week.
“I believe he is a tough player, and England would be good for him in that regard, but he prefers to support the Spanish, so we’ll see.”
“We are only having rudimentary conversations with the clubs about how he could play there, what is expected of him, and other such things, just a normal conversation; we are not talking about a contract with anyone yet.”
“Benfica would be ideal for him; I spoke with them, but I also hear from ten other teams.” We want to pick one or two teams and work with them to solve things, but I’ll tell it again: we’re really satisfied here as well.”
