According to Football Insider, Leeds United is one of six Premier League clubs interested in signing Strasbourg attacker Habib Diallo this summer.
The Whites are looking for a new striker and dispatched scouts to witness the 27-year-old in action against Lyon on Friday night.
West Ham, Leicester, Crystal Palace, Aston Villa, and recently promoted Burnley were among the Premier League clubs that sent talent scouts to watch the Senegal international.
Diallo has attracted notice due to his good run in Ligue 1, as he has scored 17 goals in 32 games to keep Strasbourg from relegation.
Strasbourg recognizes that keeping the striker will be extremely tough, and they are thus prepared to lose him if suitable offers arise during the summer transfer window.
The French outfit is said to have handed agent Mark McKay the mandate to sell Diallo to interested parties.
Leeds face a tense finish to the 2022-23 season, with the Yorkshire club just one point above the Premier League relegation zone following Sunday’s 4-1 defeat to Bournemouth.
Whether or not the Whites drop into the Championship this season, a striker is a primary priority for them.
Patrick Bamford has struggled for form this season, scoring just five goals in all competitions, and Leeds could potentially lose Wilfried Gnonto in the summer, with Chelsea reportedly interested in signing the Italian teenager.
Diallo has been a steady provider of goals for Strasbourg since signing a five-year contract in 2020.
He scored nine goals in his first season, 2020-21, and then added 11 more in 2021-22.
