Leeds United Negotiating permanent deal for “very talented” Everton winger this summer

Leeds United winger Jack Harrison is on Everton’s agenda for a permanent deal in the summer, according to Sean Dyche.

Loan players will likely know whether their club are wanting to make moves permanent by now, with the season coming to its conclusion in the next couple of weeks.

For Everton and Jack Harrison, the Premier League is 37 games old but their objective is already complete with Premier League safety confirmed, despite points deductions threatening to derail their season.

Sean Dyche was delighted with Harrison’s contribution this weekend and throughout the season, then asked post-match on his plans to sign the Leeds winger permanently.

Dyche said this (via the Liverpool Echo):

“We will wait and see. The first thing was making sure we were safe, then once we were safe we could re-evaluate the internal truth with the financial side of what we can do, so that will be an ongoing process.

“He has done very well. His tactical understanding is excellent, in two roles really, wide or in the number 10 spot.

“His work ethic is excellent too. I still think there is more with his talent because he is very talented – we see it in training and I have spoken to him about unlocking that.

Over the season I think he has done very well for us and been a consistent performer.

Harrison heading out permanently would be a big boost

It’s fair to say that not many fans at all would want Harrison back at the club next season, even if we’re promoted.

He showed his hand by jumping ship in August and hasn’t really set the world alight at Everton, their fans constantly berate his output.

However, if Dyche is happy with his input, then we could be onto a solid return here with selling him.
