According to the Spanish newspaper ‘Fichajes,’ Atlético Madrid is planning a 50 million pound bid for Leeds duo Tyler Adams and Rodrigo this summer. Diego Simone is aiming to enhance his squad in preparation for domestic and European success next season, and sees the Elland Road pair as important additions to his squad after a somewhat dismal campaign by their standards.
While the amount is acceptable, both players have previously been identified by Leeds as key components of next season’s promotion push (if they stay down). Rodrigo may be 32 years old and has just over a year left on his contract, but as long as he’s scoring goals, Leeds won’t want to lose him. He has 15 goals this season (in all competitions) and a shot accuracy of 60%, which is greater than Haaland, Toney, and Salah.
Leeds have disintegrated since Tyler Adams tore his hamstring in March, owing to his importance to the starting lineup. The 24-year-old has been Leeds’ most dependable player this season, sweeping up in the center of the pitch and not letting the opponent relax. He also has a great mentality, both on and off the field. Other Leeds players could do a lot worse than to follow the example set by the USA International.
Leeds are unprepared for the transfer market, which opens in less than three weeks.
The transfer window starts in less than three weeks, and Leeds are now managerless, without a Director of Football, and have no idea who their owners will be! With a 97% chance of relegation, the team may soon find itself on a collision course from which they may be unable to recover. Previous seasons have shown that throwing money at difficulties merely delays the inevitable, and the wonga will eventually vanish as well.
The Championship is said to be the most difficult league in the world to leave, despite the fact that Wigan Athletic have made it look easy. Leeds are in a race against time to get the cogs in place, calm the ship, and begin to construct a squad capable of automatic promotion; all while fending off other clubs attempting to steal Leeds Utd’s top talent.
