Leeds United star Jack Harrison, along with three other key players, will leave the club this summer following their relegation, according to Daily Express columnist Ryan Taylor.
Leeds recruited Sam Allardyce with four games left in the season in a desperate attempt to stay in the Premier League, but finished in 19th place. After only three seasons in the top division, they have returned to the Championship.
Leeds United transfer news – Marc Roca, Rodrigo Moreno, Wilfried Gnonto and Jack Harrison
According to Leeds Live, Marc Roca, a £10 million acquisition from Bayern Munich in June, is one of several players on a shortlist to replace leaving Barcelona icon Sergio Busquets. Roca did, however, spend four seasons with Barcelona’s city rivals Espanyol before transferring to Germany, where he made only 15 Bundesliga appearances in two seasons.
According to the Birmingham Mail, Aston Villa are interested in striker Rodrigo Moreno, while Harrison will be allowed to leave the club if “the right offer comes in,” despite signing a new five-year contract in April and joining from Manchester City for around £11 million.
Wilfried Gnonto was linked to a number of teams in March, including Arsenal and Juventus, but little playing time towards the end of the season appears to have dampened speculation over his departure. A supposedly huge sell-on provision in Gnonto’s contract may boost Leeds’ determination to keep the youngster, with a major portion of any transfer fee obtained for the 19-year-old going to FC Zurich in the event of a sale.
