Leeds Utd finally reach all agreements with star as agent spotted in of Elland Road amid Burnley interest

According to the Daily Mail, Leeds United loanee Cody Drameh is expected to leave Elland Road this summer, with Premier League newcomers Burnley intrigued.

Drameh has spent the second part of the season on loan with Luton Town, guiding them to a fantastic third-place finish in the Championship playoffs with two games remaining.

Reliable transfer guru Fabrizio Romano revealed on 14 April that there has been no fresh decision on the youngster’s long-term future, but he is set to depart West Yorkshire this summer, according to the Daily Mail [29 April].

Burnley, winners of the Sky Bet Championship under Vincent Kompay, are said to be long-term admirers of the defender, as are Eintracht Frankfurt of the German Bundesliga.

Both Jesse Marsch and Gracia have struggled at right-back this season, with Luke Ayling seemingly past his prime and Rasmus Kristensen proving an untrustworthy option since his summer move.

And, given the club’s dreadful defensive performances in recent weeks, letting go of a player who has excelled at the Hatters this season could be extremely damaging to the club’s long-term goal.

Drameh has been a revelation for Luton Town, with the club only losing once in his 13 outings, a narrow 1-0 setback against his possible next club Burnley.

The 21-year-old has averaged an astonishing 7.38 rating from WhoScored over his Championship outings, ranking him as the top player in the group.

Given Kristensen and Ayling’s struggles this season, which have earned them 6.67 and 6.55 ratings from WhoScored, Leeds United cannot afford to make any rash decisions about Drameh’s future.

Instead, they should be quickly leaning toward keeping him if they want to assemble an exciting group of players for a long-term future at Elland Road. Give him the new contract.
